私たちが肉食や乳製品を摂取したり、毛皮を着用したりまたペットを購入する陰には、想像を絶するほどの残虐な扱われ方で、毎日苦しんだり死を迎える動物たちがいます。ファクトリー・ファーミング、毛皮・革産業、動物実験、エンターテイメント、ペット産業。下記はその実態を撮影した映像へのリンクです。
国によって動物製品製造システムは異なるかもしれません。動物が使われた製品を購入する前にどんな場所でどのように動物が管理され、屠殺されているか、製造 元／ファームに確認しましょう。または、製造元／ファームを訪問してもよいか聞いてみましょう。もし、喜んで情報を提供してくれない場合は、私達や子供達 が口にする、あるいは身につける製品が、このような残酷で不健康なシステムから製造された可能性があります。わたしたちはそういった製品にお金を支払うたびに、残酷なシステムをサポートすることになってしまいます。

It might be very painful for you to watch these videos. However, the ones who are suffering the most are these animals who are treated with cruelty, not us.
Behind many everyday choices either eating meat and dairy food, or wearing fur and leather, or buying puppies and kittens- there are animals who suffer and endure a painful death. The following is a list of links that reveal the actual condition of mega industries including factory farming, fur & leather trades, animal experimentation, the entertainment and the pet business.
Countries and cultures may have their own systems for handling animals in these industries. Before purchasing a product, we encourage you to ask the manufacturers and sellers in these industries how the animals are treated and in what kid of environment they are kept, and how they are slaughtered or used in processes. If a producer is unwilling to inform you about this - there may be a possibility that the products, which you and your family will eat and wear, could be manufactured in a process which harms animals. Which means, every time we pay for that type of product, we may be supporting an inhumane system.

下の２枚の写真は、世界的にも名高い写真家であり人気テレビ番組「America's Next Top Model」（一般の人々がプロのモデルを目指す米国のリアリティ・ショー ）でも審査員を担当しているナイジェル・バーカー氏が撮影したものです。バーカー氏は、カナダに生息するアザラシの美しさと、そのアザラシの赤ちゃんたちが虐殺される実態を撮影した 「A Sealed Fate」(2009 / The Humane Society of the United States)というドキュメンタリーも制作しています。カナダでの営利目的のためのアザラシ猟は今年もおこなわれ、 280,000頭の赤ちゃんアザラシが虐殺されました 。

The following two photographs were shot by Mr. Nigel Barker.
Nigel Barker is a world-renowned photographer and judge on "America's Next Top Model." Mr. Barker directed and produced the film "A Sealed Fate" (2009 / The Humane Society of the United States), which documented the lives of baby harp seals brutally killed in Canada. The seal hunting in Canada is the largest commercial slaughter of marine mammals in the world.
